Breast Screening Acceptability: Research and PracticeISBN 1 871997 56 9 Following the start of the NHS Breast Screening Programme in 1988, a UKCCCR Breast Screening Research Sub-committee was convened. In addition to setting up three trials based on recommendations outlined in the Forrest Report, the sub-committee identified research into breast screening attendance rates as a priority. The Breast Screening Acceptability Working Group was set up to look into research activities in this area with an initial remit to review research proposals, identify priorities for further research and stimulate intervention studies in this increasingly important aspect of the programme. NHSBSP Publication No 28. Published October 1993. Copies are no longer available. |
