Involving Primary Care Teams in the National Breast Screening Programme

For the NHS Breast Screening Programme to be successful, the contribution and cooperation of primary care teams is essential. It is important for all members of the primary care team to understand how the programme works and how they can help to improve it. Part one summarises the main findings arising from a detailed study of over 330 practices from a wide range of settings. Part two outlines the issues which need to be considered when visiting primary care teams to explain their involvement in the NHS Breast Screening Programme.
