This booklet contains detailed guidance on the NHS Breast Screening Programme and can be used to help staff who have joined the programme since its start, or who join in future, to acquire a knowledge and understanding of it. The guidance consolidates existing requirements for the screening programme and draws on the experience of the first screening centres and that gained by the national development team.
